The battle between the Rockets and Broncos didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Western Michigan was handed a 37-10 defeat on Friday at Glass Bowl Stadium.
Toledo was a favorite by -10.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 62.0.
Terry Swanson rushed for 94 yards, while Shakif Seymour added 54 yards in the win. Jon'Vea Johnson and Diontae Johnson added 96 and 61 receiving yards respectively.
Jarvion Franklin rushed for 52 yards for Western Michigan, while Reece Goddard added 38 yards. Reece Goddard threw for 180 yards for the Broncos, while receivers Tyron Arnett and Anton Curtis had 87 and 62 yards respectively.
Toledo outgained Western Michigan 455-275 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 22-15 by the Rockets.
The time of possession battle favored Toledo as their offense was on the field for 34:08, longer than the 25:52 of their opponents.
