Angels sneak past Mariners TUESDAY MAY 19, 2009
Bobby Abreu drove in a pair of runs to help lift the LA Angels to a 6-5 win over the Seattle Mariners Tuesday night at Safeco Field.
The Angels won the game as +140 underdogs, while the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8).
Matt Palmer improved to 5-0 with the victory, and Brian Fuentes closed out the ninth with three strikeouts.
Ronny Cedeno went 1-for-2 at the plate with a two-run homer for the Mariners. Felix Hernandez gave up 11 hits and six runs over 5 2-3 innings in the loss.
