Cardinals sneak past Cubs in sweep  THURSDAY MAY 21, 2009 The St. Louis Cardinals completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago Cubs with a 3-1 win in the series finale Thursday night at Busch Stadium. St. Louis won the game as -145 favorites, while the four runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8.5). Brian Barden went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo home run for the Cardinals. Adam Wainwright tossed 8 2-3 innings for the win, allowing five hits and one run, and Ryan Franklin earned his 11th save. Kosuke Fukudome drove in the only run for the Cubs. Sean Marshall surrendered four hits and three runs over five innings in the loss.
