Pirates top Nationals in 10 innings  TUESDAY MAY 19, 2009

The Pittsburgh Pirates came through with three runs in the top of the 10th inning Tuesday, and came away with a 8-5 victory over the Washington Nationals.

Pittsburgh won the game as +135 underdogs, while the 13 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (10).

Brandon Moss had two hits and drove in three runs, and Adam LaRoche smacked a two-run homer. Tom Gorzelanny tossed just over an inning in relief for the win.

Anderson Hernandez had two hits and drove in one run for the Nationals. Joe Beimel was rocked for three runs over two innings of relief in the loss.
